Internationally accredited hospitals
Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation is the world's most recognised benchmark for patient safety and care quality, held by leading hospitals across the United States, Europe and Asia. Fewer than 60 hospitals in all of Brazil meet that standard. Nuviya prioritises accredited facilities when we match you, and we tell you which hospital your surgeon operates in and what accreditation it holds before you commit to anything — rather than asking you to assume it.
The real risks, and what we do about them
Cosmetic surgery carries real risk, wherever it is performed
Every operation carries the possibility of bleeding, infection, poor wound healing, an anaesthetic complication or a result you are not happy with. Travelling does not create those risks and staying in Australia does not remove them.
What changes the odds is surgeon selection, the facility, an unhurried pre-operative consultation and honest expectations. Every surgeon we match you with is independently credential-verified before they ever appear in a match.
You are a long way from your surgeon once you return
The weeks after you fly home are exactly when questions arise, and your operating surgeon is on the other side of the world in a different time zone.
Your surgeon reviews you in Brazil until you are cleared to fly, you keep a direct English-language line to them afterwards, and we schedule a post-return GP review in Australia so someone lays eyes on you at home.
Flight timing and blood clot risk
A 15-plus hour flight raises the risk of a blood clot while you are still healing, and the bigger the procedure, the longer the window before flying is safe.
Recovery stays are planned around the procedure rather than the cheapest fare, returns are booked flexibly, and your surgeon clears you to fly and gives you an in-flight protocol.
