Nuviya
    Our verification method

How we verify surgeons — and how you can check for yourself

We would rather show you the method than ask you to trust a badge. Here is exactly what is checked before a surgeon can be matched to an Australian patient, and how you can independently verify the most important part of it.

    Intelligent surgeon matching

Matched to the right, qualified and experienced surgeon

Nuviya is a surgeon-led platform, not a package broker. We match you to a verified, English-speaking specialist based on your procedure, your goals and your circumstances — then coordinate everything around you.

    STEP 01

Tell us about your aesthetic goals and budget

Share your aesthetic goals, tourism preference, budget and timing.

    STEP 02

Get matched with the right english-speaking surgeon

Whose expertise, location and approach fit your case and preferences. We'll share with you the comparison short-list for you to decide.

    STEP 03

    No-obligation, no commitment online consultation

Before committing a cent, you'll get the opportunity to meet with your recommended surgeon in Brazil via a video call.

    STEP 04

    Post consultation de-brief with Nuviya

We'll contact you after the consultation to get your feedback, answer any questions so you have complete confidence in your decision.

    Nuviya's Curated Surgeon Panel

Experienced, qualified, and english speaking surgeons

Australian medical bodies rightly warn that overseas patients often "only meet their surgeon on the day of the operation," with pre-op discussion handled by non-medical third parties. That's the real risk of cosmetic tourism — and it's exactly what Nuviya removes. You have a comprehensive online video consultation with your actual surgeon before you commit to anything, every surgeon is independently credential-verified.

    Fluent in English

Consultation, consent and aftercare all in English. No hand-waving translation.

    Board-certified

Registered with the Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia Plástica (SBCP) — Brazil's highest standard.

    Independently verified by Nuviya

We confirm CRM (medical licence), RQE (specialist registration), SBCP membership and ethical standing before they ever appear in a match.

    Extensively trained

Six years of medical school, a full general-surgery residency, then a three-year plastic-surgery residency and specialist board exams — well over a decade.

    Qualified surgeon in surgical scrubs

No obligation — speak with a Nuviya consultant within 1 business day.

    What we check

Six checks, before a surgeon can be matched

    Check 01

CFM registration — the CRM number

Every doctor practising in Brazil holds a CRM, the registration number issued by their state medical council under the Conselho Federal de Medicina. We confirm the number is current and in good standing before a surgeon can appear in a match — and we give you that number so you can check it yourself.

    Check 02

RQE — specialist qualification in plastic surgery

A CRM alone only says someone is a doctor. The RQE is the registration of specialist qualification, and it is what separates a board-certified plastic surgeon from a general practitioner offering cosmetic procedures. We verify the RQE is recorded specifically for plastic surgery.

    Check 03

    SBCP membership

Membership of the Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia Plástica is Brazil's highest professional standard for the specialty, requiring completion of the full residency pathway and board examinations.

    Check 04

    Procedure-specific experience

Being a plastic surgeon is not the same as being the right surgeon for your operation. We look at how regularly a surgeon performs the specific procedure you are considering, not just their general caseload.

    Check 05

    English proficiency

Your consultation, your consent documents and your aftercare instructions are all in English. We confirm fluency directly rather than taking a profile's word for it.

    Check 06

    The facility

We record which hospital or licensed facility a surgeon operates in and what accreditation it holds, and we share that with you before you commit to anything.

    Proof, not a promise

    Verify the CRM number yourself

The Conselho Federal de Medicina maintains a public register of every doctor licensed in Brazil. Your surgeon's CRM number and their specialist registration are searchable on it by anyone, from anywhere. We give you the number, and you can check the registration and its standing without going through us. That is the point: it is evidence you can confirm, not a claim you have to take on trust.

    Which regulator applies

Nuviya is an Australian-facing service operated from Brazil. Our surgeons are registered and regulated in Brazil by the Conselho Federal de Medicina — they are not registered with AHPRA, and your surgery takes place in Brazil under Brazilian regulation.
